Ursula Margazano- Vice President of Senior Services
Ursula joined the team at Gifford in the summer of 2018. She oversees the entire Gifford Retirement Community, including Menig. Ursula wants to continue the emphasis on the community by developing programs and services that best serve its members. She is committed to building relationships and providing service geared to the resident’s wants and goals.
Kim Marcotte- Care Manager
As Menig’s Care Manager, Kim takes care of admissions, discharges, and handles any family issues that may arise. Kim’s also an LNA, so she meets with the residents one on one and can discuss care plans. What Kim loves most about Menig is with just 30 residents, she can get to know them and their families really well. She also loves how everyone at Menig is willing to help each other, adding to the small community feeling.
Rebecca McShane- Nurse Care Coordinator
Rebecca has a long history with Gifford. Not only was she born at Gifford, but Rebecca also started working there in 1988, alongside her grandmother, while still in High School. Rebecca enjoys the personal relationships she has formed with the residents and the members of the Menig staff. As Nurse Care Coordinator, Rebecca organizes treatment plans between the patient and nursing staff.
Dana Kievit- Director of Nursing
Dana joined Menig during the summer of 2021 with 20 years of experience in nursing. She oversees the day-to-day clinical operations in the facility and monitors the residents, making sure their needs are met. Dana says the favorite part of her job is when the residents make her laugh, which pretty much happens daily. She loves that the residents are individuals with great personalities.
Jennifer Spivey- Activity Director
Jennifer leads the activities department, coordinating fun projects and events for the residents to keep them engaged and their minds sharp. She loves getting to know the residents through their stories and experiences. Jen says Bingo is a big hit, but there are also exercise activities, trivia sessions, and entertainment acts as well. One of the highlights of Jen’s job over the last couple of years has been arranging family visits for the residents, either in person or virtually.
Kevin Bailey- Head Chef
Kevin became Head Chef at Menig during the 2021 holiday season and he hit the ground running. He finds his job rewarding on many different levels, whether it’s providing the dietary needs of the residents or sharing ideas with Silas Tanner, the head chef at Strode Independent Living. After 25 years of experience working in fine dining, Kevin is here because he cares about the community.
