Betty has lived in the Randolph area for years. During that time she fell in her home and thought to herself “a couple of years from now I do not want to be living alone and have this happen again.” So she decided to look into independent living.

She began researching area possibilities and couldn’t believe when, shortly after beginning her search, we announced our plan to build Morgan Orchards just a few miles from her home. She became our first priority depositor and was the first to move in. She jokes that she would’ve moved in six-months earlier if the building had been ready.

Though one of her grandchildren suggested she purchase all new furniture, Betty knew they were key to making her new apartment feel like home. And she was right. Surrounded by her belongs and furniture, her western-facing lower level unit with its amazing sunset views and direct access to the outdoors quickly became home.

And she loves the convenience of having her storage unit just across the hall from her apartment. “It feels like I have my own garage,” she shared.

But what she likes most is the friendly staff, who do an incredible job and are so supportive, and her down-to-earth neighbors, especially when her earlier premonition of future falls came true. “This past year I had some health issues and I fell in my apartment. I was so thankful that the staff and other residents were around to help me.”

While the entire community was there for her when she needed them, she also appreciates how everyone still has their privacy; something she wondered about prior to moving in. But she’s found that her new community is very respectful of each other’s privacy.

“If you’re looking for a more supportive situation you couldn’t ask for a better place. I am very, very happy here.”
